    Next set of camera gear

Well I’ve been looking at getting some new camera gear and I’m planning on purchasing a SB-600 within the next week. My birthday is coming up as well and I’ve been going over the idea of what to get. At first I was thinking about the Sigma 10-20mm, however, I think it might be a bit too wide for what I have in mind. I’ve been a bit inspired by Julia Fullerton-Batten, a great photographer that has won countless awards. Link to her page below:

My current lineup of choices ranges from the Nikon 20mm F/2.8Nikon 24mm F/2.8, Nikon 28mm F/2.8, Nikon 35mm F/2, Tamron 17-50mm F/2.8,  and Sigma 30mm F/1.4. Of course this is just a quick look though. I still need to check out comparisons. Right now the 20mm looks a bit too wide, but I’m not sure yet (it’s also pricey).

The Sigma 30mm looked amazingly sharp at 1.4, something I noticed being a problem when I have my 50mm at 1.8. Some faults though is the build of it. I hear lots of things about it having a front focus problem. Another problem is paint chipping, something that is ridiculous for the amount of money you pay.

I’m crossing these off as I look over info. I’m seriously looking at the Tamron 17-50mm F/2.8 now. It’s in the price range of the Sigma 10-20mm but it’s amazing according to LOTS of reviews

More to update as I check over upcoming weeks
